Subset obtained from https://github.com/olivercase/body_parts_3d_api Original database: https://lifesciencedb.jp/bp3d/ 48 specimens: 24 individual vertebrae, sacrum and 23 intervertebral discs. Adaptation by the Lorenzo website project (2026): selected subset, conversion from OBJ to indexed glTF binary, coordinate-system conversion, local pivots, recomputed smooth normals and presentation materials. One offline Loop subdivision pass (three-subdivide 1.1.5) smooths only the seven cervical bones; the other bones and the discs retain their original surfaces. Original piece relationships and source pivots are retained before Meshopt quantization. Measured smoothing changes a cervical bounding-box limit by at most 0.265 mm; the largest bounding-box dimension reduction is 1.37 percent. The surfaces are adapted illustrations, not newly validated anatomical reconstructions. The adapted mesh asset is shared under the same license. Presentation colors and illustrative movement are not patient-specific findings. Citation: Mitsuhashi N et al. BodyParts3D: 3D structure database for anatomical concepts.
